To refreshingly redefine it—what toughness and lightness!

Even though it's a best album, because it's re-recorded by a new vocalist, rather than looking back at the 'past' of archives,

the fact that it has become a work that expresses a clear intention for the 'future' is truly impressive.

And so, my BEST song is 「Rally Call」, which vividly made me feel the 'New' 新東京.

新東京 has always delivered exceptionally urban, intricate, yet free sounds. I look forward to what they'll do in the future!

If there's any blessing we can offer, I thought it should first be dedicated to 新東京 for still maintaining its form.

However, this best album embodied something entirely different in its form and conviction from before, which was wonderful. I was surprised.

The current 'feel' that we perceive as 新東京 might already not be what it is for them.

Therefore, I'll dedicate any remaining blessings to the future of 新東京.

I respect the band 新東京 and Toshi, who is at its core.

At the beginning of this year, when I heard 「Rally Call」, released breaking the silence, I was happy for my peers' restart, and at the same time, I even felt a sense of impatience.

The struggles they must have endured to get there, I understand well as a fellow creator.

They brilliantly accomplished returning the energy accumulated during that time twofold. It's not an easy feat.

Listening to 『SHINTOKYO THE BEST』 this time, I once again witnessed the accumulation of time they've built up,

and felt it was a work truly fitting for the sweet sound of 'best album'.

Hopefully, we'll still be playing joint shows 20 years from now. I'll do my best too. Congratulations on the release!
